Chapter 3

The events of the last New Moon definitely silenced all the naysayers. For the witnesses, it was a horror like none they could have ever imagined. They had each lived to tell the tale a thousand times over, and not once did they recollect the details without it sending a shudder through their hearts. Even for Eyanka, the story would have bordered on superstition if the accounts from multiple witnesses were not consistent. It was yet again another New Moon festival, but with all that had happened, the spirit of festivity was all but dead.
